The mineral graphite is one of the allotropes of carbon. It was named by Abraham Gottlob Werner in 1789 from the Greek γραφειν (graphein): “to draw/write”, for its use in pencils, where it is commonly called lead, as distinguished from the actual metallic element lead. Graphite may be considered the highest grade of coal, just above anthracite and alternatively called meta-anthracite, although it is not normally used as fuel because it is hard to ignite.
Friends,
Skateboarding has always been central to our point of view on the world.
It’s the lens through which we make sense of our surroundings
and it taught us how to think around, over, and through.
But you already knew that.
It’s fairly simple. We wake, we work, we share ideas and nurture friendships,
and at some point in the day we find ourselves moving with a rush and a push.
Now let’s get started….
Stacks will enter the new decade as a skateboard company.
